who we are
Kultura is a community event which showcases the richness of the Filipino culture and promotes a respect for and appreciation of the Filipino heritage.
Featuring delectable cuisine, traditional folk dances, music and the arts. Kultura hopes to attract attendees from Edmonton and surrouding areas who wants to experience the best of the Philippine islands.
Utlizing our team of volunteers, businesses and community leaders, Kultura is a unique celebration of community, volunteerism and fun for people of all ages.

Filipino Canadians are the fourth largest subgroup of the overseas Filipinos and one of the fastest-growing groups in Canada. Based on the May 2016 census, there are 837,130 people in Canada with Filipino ethnic origin. Between the 2011 Census and the 2016 Census, the Filipino community in Canada grew from 702,200 to 820,100, a growth of about 7%, compared to the rest of Canada, which grew by 5% during the same time period.
Kultura is a significant community outreach and promotional opportunity for corporations and local businessess. We project over 50,000 in attendance for a 2-day event reaching approximately 20,000+ Filipino families.
Kultura will feature delectable Filipino cuisine, local and international Filipino performers and entertainment and cultural performances from local and international groups. We will also feature a special headline performance from a Filipino celebrity well known to the community.
Sir Winston Churchill Square is a safe, family-friendly, vibrant and lively urban plaza in the heart of Edmonton’s downtown. The pavilions, public art, water features and seating areas create a vibrant public space and makes this the perfect venue to host Kultura.

Our company and most of our partners are participating or are open under Alberta’s Restrictions Exemptions Program. To attend events*: Masks securely covering the mouth and nose must be worn by all guests aged 2 and older at all times while in the venue, except while eating or drinking. Guests ages 12 and older will be requested to provide their paper or digital proof of vaccination status (QR Code), along with approved ID, or provide proof of a privately-paid negative rapid test result taken within 72 hours of service, or original vaccine medical exemption letter, along with approved ID, at the event promoter's discretion. Any guest 12 years or older who is unable to provide the required items will be denied entry, and tickets purchased are 100% non-refundable. Patrons younger than 12 years-of-age will not be checked, but must be accompanied by a fully vaccinated adult. *Promoters and venues may require additional measures above the public health orders.
